Keen to lounge on soft white sandy beaches, or frolic in crystal clear shallow waters? Nusa Dua might be the neighbourhood of your choice. This enclave is home to many sprawling five-star resorts, which boast award-winning fine dining, luxurious spas, world-class golf courses, and more. There’s lots to do in each resort, but if you’re one to prefer stepping out to explore the neighbourhood, you’ll find great boutiques, galleries, dive spots, as well as Water Blow – a massive natural blow hole where the seawater shoots up 30 metres in the air!
Amed might not be a place that most tourists gravitate to, but this idyllic nook that sits in the shadow of the iconic Mount Agung is somewhere where you’ll find spectacular views – both of Bali’s largest active volcano, as well as of volcanic black sand beaches. This is also where you’ll get to enter the world of the locals and embrace the laidback vibes of this island. Visit the string of sleepy fishing villages, hike through the lush forests, and be awed by all the breath-taking vistas that await you around every corner.
The coolest kid on the block (or island) is none other than Canggu. This former surfers’ hideaway is now one of the hippest neighbourhoods in Bali, where visitors can catch waves as well as spend many happy hours at one of the many lively beach clubs that line the coast. There’s no lack of infinity pools, restaurants, and poolside bars that offer magnificent views of the shimmering Indian Ocean. Just pick a beach club, find a day bed, cabana, or pool booth, and enjoy the best of Bali – sea, surf, sand and good vibes only.
